Putting me on a value hand is only half the battle, though. I think he’s going to have just as much difficulty putting me on a hand that needs to bluff. I think a TAGfish is more likely to default to folding than calling when value bets and bluffs make equally little sense to him.

I’ll say first that I think betting would be fine. Also, importantly, I don’t expect Villain to bet the flop all that often. I’m hoping it goes check/check. I guess I’d say his pre-flop range is pretty narrow, and when I’m ahead I’m way ahead but not getting three streets of value. So, I don’t need to bet the flop, either for value or for protection.

It’s nothing to do with good enough, just mixing it up. There’s nothing wrong with betting the flop.

I think he pretty much always folds a Q here. I wouldn’t be raising if I didn’t.

I’m sure they would, but it’s not a situation that comes up all that often. It matters a bit that I’m UTG, but honestly I don’t see a TAGfish calling KQ here any time soon.
