Selling EPT Madrid Action

I’ve made a last-minute decision to play the EPT Grand Final in Madrid. I’ll be starting Day 1A on May 7th. A friend who used to play in my old high school home game way back when is going to join me for the trip, so it should be fun no matter what happens with the tournament. Naturally there will be trip reportage so keep you eye on the blog and on @thinkingpoker on Twitter.

At 10K euros, this is too big even for my bankroll, and with my income suddenly a lot more uncertain, I’m not looking to embrace the variance of shot-taking. So, I’m selling up to 2/3 of my action at 125% markup. It would make my life way easier to deal with just one person, so if anyone is inclined to buy the whole shebang, I’d sell at 120%. In other words, the buyin is 10K euros or about $14,548 US. With markup, shares will go for

1% = $182
5% = $909
10% = $1818
67% = $11638

I’ve played 869 tournaments since January 1, 2008 with 146% ROI. Notable scores include 1st in an FTOPS $2K, 3rd in a WCOOP $500 1R1A, 5th in a SCOOP $300 4-Max, and four cashes in five years in the WSOP Main Event, including two finishes in the top 100.

Unfortunately moving money isn’t so easy right now. I have accounts with Bank of America and ING, both of which allow free transfers between customers, which is my preferred payment method. Mailing a check works as well, as long as it clears before the start of the event. Paypal charges a 3% fee on transfers which we can split if there’s no other option.

Please e-mail me at andrew (at) thinkingpoker.net if you’re interested. Do NOT send money or assume that you haveĀ  a piece until I’ve written back to confirm, which may take a day or two.

Edit: Should I cash, payouts to shareholders will be based on a dollar:euro exchange rate of 1:1.4548 (ie the same rate you bought at), regardless of what the exchange rate is at that time.
