Tommy Angelo and Carlos Welch are among my all-time favorite guests, so getting them together on one show would have already had the makings of greatness. But what made it all the greater is that we got to record this in person, from Tommy’s suite at the Rio, which always makes for better on-air rapport. Tommy told stories from the pre-boom WSOP era and even engaged in a bit of honest-to-goodness poker strategy talk. The only thing that could have been better is if Nate had been able to join us in person rather than via Skype. I definitely missed seeing him in Las Vegas this summer.
