  1. Some thoughts about the games mentioned:

    Bridge. Would love to see an AI that can compete with top level humans. They are not close. While it is true that playing the bots can be beneficial, they have major holes in their game, especially when it comes to bidding. Humans have learned so much from AI in other games, I am jealous we don’t have the same capabilities to do so in bridge.

    Also, even if an AI learned bridge, the game space is so big that no one could possibly ‘memorize’ a complete strategy

    Backgammon. A truly great gambling game; I suspect if it was easier to play live there would be much more side action at a poker tournament.

    Codenames. Definitely a great zoom game. There is also a game called Factile which is a poorly disguised Jeopardy ripoff. Can be played in buzzer mode, but as in real Jeopardy, you need a small field.
