This was a $1000 6 max, a great event for me, but it just didn’t come together. I was getting re-raised left and right, and I’m not sure if people were catching hands or just that stupidly aggressive but it made things tough. No particularly interesting hands, I lost a healthy chunk of the generous starting stack early by constantly raise-folding but eventually doubled off of a terrible player when he opened to 5x, I shoved QQ, and he called with JJ.
That gave me a health stack for another hour or so, but once again constant calling and 3-betting whittled me down. I got QQ two hands in a row, but everyone decided to stop 3-betting me. Then they started again immediately. Eventually, I shoved KJ over a button raise from Mig.com and got busted by AK. Nothing I can do there, he was opening a ton from late position, and I’m sure that’s a ++EV shove, just sucks to run into AK.
