I do think I’m often good on the flop, though not quite often enough for the call to be profitable without the occasional move like this. But no one ever pots into the pre-flop raiser with a monster on a board this dry. Most likely, he’s trying to protect a small pair, something like JT at the strongest. So on the turn, unless he was betting KJ/AJ and caught, I expect to have 10 outs when called. More importantly, I expect him to fold stuff like 66 even though he’s got less than pot left in his stack.
