WSOP Plans

Surprise, surprise, I’m just now making plans for where I’m going to be and what I’ll be doing a few weeks from now! I’m going to the Rio for the first week of June to hit a few of the WSOP prelims, specifically:

June 2: Event 4 $5000 NLHE

June 3: Event 7 $10,000 PLHE (maybe)

June 4: Event 8 $1000 NLHE

June 6: Event 10 $1500 NLHE 6-handed

Of course I hope to do well enough in one of these events that it conflicts with one or more of the others, but we’ll see how that goes. I’ll be in Las Vegas from the evening of June 1 until whenever I bust the 6-handed event, so please let me know if you’re going to be in town. I’ll also of course be back in July for the $10,000 NLHE Main Event, though I don’t yet know exactly when or which day I’ll be playing.

    • Not a few people, myself included, think PLH is a better test of poker skill than NLH.

If nothing else, it forces the “Kill Phill” types to play something resembling real poker.

  1. Andrew,

I will be at (my first) WSOP at this time as well. BIG Fan. Hoping we can meetup at that time.

    Cheers

  2. Andrew, are you still sponsored by Poker Stars. I know your status was Online Pro, but…well just wondering if you had any updates on that situation, that you are able to share. Good luck @WSOP!

  3. Good luck! Play slow and think fast. I’d also like to hear if you can pull off a quadruple range merge. If so it needs to get it’s own article. 🙂
