The only hand less likely than an Ace…

…is anything else. Lots of aggressive history, plus the BB is sitting out, which always makes things fun.

I float the flop because I think Villain bets a pair on the flop pretty much never. My intention is to bet the turn when he checks, but then I make a pair. Truthfully, betting might be best anyway, because my hand is somewhat vulnerable and I can’t call any river except a 9. I’d snap-call any Ace here, so I feel pretty comfortable throwing away a 9.

  1. My reaction here would be to call, hoping to catch a bluff. Why do you feel he isn’t bluffing? Is it because he called your 3bet oop? If so, how does that affect his preflop range?

  2. weird. what kind of range can you give him for donking that flop after calling a 3b oop? Since you say he never bets a pair on the flop (i assume you mean 1010-kk, you think he’s gonna show up qith aj-aq with this bet/check/bet line?

Especially with aggro history, i’d assume he’s always checking his aces to you, unless he’s the tricky trappy type
