Four-Way All-In

BTN and SB both seem fishy, not just because of their stacks but because they are respectively 100/20 and 55/9, albeit over small samples. I felt like they’d both have a lot of random crap and I could drive them out of the pot and get it heads up with the BB and his short stack with a hefty overlay. Turns out they decided to come along with their crappy hands, which is OK, too. The SB called me an idiot after the hand, but I actually 27% equity to his 20% (BTN also had 20%).

  1. It is very rare to be called an idiot in in pot-limit Omaha unlike in NL-Holdem.
Well you induced such rare behavior because your preflop actions.Something very unique in PLO.LOL.

  2. This makes me think that 100 PLO is pretty close to 10 PLO, skill wise :o.

I understand this is a good hand to get it in with 3+ people multiway, esp. if you can be sure they will have randomly bad high card hands (thus. blocking each other). But isn’t it worth more to call and play multiway with good position? Why raise and play HU pre. where you are putting in an extra $40 to get ~40% of $100? Is this an image thing. act crazy (but where you have thin +EV) and you’ll get more calls with KKxx when you have AAxx?

I assume if you did see the flop 4 ways and BB shoved, you’d fold?

What the hell is SB thinking? For either call :o. It’s also kind of sad that even after two really bad calls he’s actually got EV of ~$76 to your ~$72 (assuming I did the math right). Another good reason to get it in pre. as little as possible in PLO 😮 :).

Buttons first call seems fine, but his second is also wtf. (I guess with a 100% VPIP the world is different :). Of course against me he’d probably hit a spade on the river and think he’s a genius :).

  3. Don’t know how PLO 100 is playing these days, but you played the hand perfectly as far as I am concerned. I have been playing and winning at PLO cash for close to 2 years now, pretty standard hand.

  4. If you told me you would have a 4 way preflop allin and I could choose any one of the hands, I’d choose yours. Aces are going to be a nearly-unimprovable hand, and you have what is normally going to be a very live draw.

And lol at the small blind thinking about poker – he probably should stop doing that 😉
